Rael’s new acne collection made me realize how much I missed my pimples, not!
You might recognize Rael for their ice-cream-pint-looking tampon packaging.
The AAPI-owned brand debuted in the wellness space with their organic cotton pads and tampons. Sold in Target and DTC, their overall goal is accessibility for all that goes beyond affordable pricing. The partners Rael works with year round provide educational tools and resources to underprivileged communities of women and girls. And every purchase helps those projects continue.
Soon after their start in the wellness space, they transitioned to patches. Like, all types of patches. Patches for cramps, hydrocolloid patches for acne, acne patches with micro-crystals, patches for hyperpigmentation – you name it, Rael has one for you. So it’s no surprise that their latest launch, which came just in time for their newest retail partner Walmart, is the Miracle Clear Collection. It features a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer perfect for nourishing and healing acne-prone skin. All products are priced at $15 with the trio being $39 total – aka an absolute steal.

The ingredients
The line is three steps, the exfoliating cleanser, clarifying toner, and barrier cream. Each product is filled with skin soothing ingredients as well as gentle acne fighting ones. Rael notes the main goals of the Miracle Clear Collection are gentle exfoliation that doesn’t strip skin, oil balance, and reinforcing your skin barrier. All of these products are ‘clean’ which Rael defines as products without parabens, phthalates, sulfates, silicones, and artificial fragrances. They’re also vegan and cruelty-free.
Each product contains succinic acid, which is a gentle exfoliant that works to peel away the dead skin cells clogging your pores. Dermatologist, Dr. Caren Campbell notes the ingredient has antimicrobial properties too.
I imagine a tiny person diving into each and every pore, scooping out the dead skin, and moving onto the next.
The interesting thing about the cleanser is it also uses wintergreen extract to moisturize skin, something I haven’t seen before. But don’t worry, it’s not minty! You won’t be able to distinguish much of any scent from the line besides what I would describe as a fresh and clean smell.
Lastly, the ingredient story that I was most interested in is the Clarifying Toner and Barrier Cream both contain vitamin B5 panthenol. ” [Vitamin B5 panthenol] helps with the skin’s barrier by serving as a humectant that helps moisturize the skin by helping to produce more of the lipid building blocks of the skin barrier,” says Dr. Campbell. This is often seen in intensive hair treatments like leave in conditioners or masks but in skincare, the ingredient is definitely trending as of late. It’s ideal for holding water to the skin, keeping it hydrated and it also has anti-inflammatory properties.
The review
I was lucky enough to receive a mini facial courtesy of Rael for my first time using these 3 products. After just one use (which almost never happens for me), I saw a real difference in my skin and was so eager to use the products again that night. I even went to launch party makeup free the same day and the compliments I received on how HEALTHY my skin looked were endless. I had a glow I have never seen before.
The main takeaway from these products is they’re incredibly gentle and very, very hydrating. Although, they are ‘light’ and not at all overbearing to your skin. I noticed that my skin no longer looked oily and super shiny throughout the days when I used these products. I instead had a dewy glow and I had a bouncy complexion. Areas which I usually have redness were calmed and if I did have a surprise pimple or two, it was easily soothed after using the routine.
A little goes a long way with these products, you can use the smallest amount of the cleanser and it froths up into a foam that feels like a hug on your face. I noticed I didn’t have to use much of the toner or moisturizer either. These products are incredibly affordable at $15 each and fit in well with my other skincare staples (eye cream serum, SPF). It’s safe to say this line contains 3 anti-inflammatory and hydrating heroes. And my cystic acne doesn’t give that seal of approval often.
TLDR;
- Rael launched their Miracle Clear Complexion line
- It has a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer all priced at $15
- The products feature succinic acid, a minerice enzyme complex, and vitamin B5 panthenol
- Vegan & cruelty-free
- Ideal for acne-prone, oily, and sensitive skin types
